Meet the New York Lactation Loop Team
Lactation Loop is a collective of over 20 board-certified IBCLCs — International Board Certified Lactation Consultants — united by one mission: evidence-based, compassionate breastfeeding support, wherever families need it. We offer in-home visits across seven states, plus virtual support to families nationwide, and we meet weekly as a team to stay current on the latest research.
Every IBCLC on our team has passed a rigorous board examination and brings deep clinical experience to each visit. Many completed their certification through Lactation Loop's own mentorship program — which means this team wasn't just hired, it was built, from the inside out, on a foundation of collaboration and trust.
Whether you need support at home, in one of our offices, or virtually — we have someone on our team who can help.

René Fisher BA, IBCLC RLC
I’ve supported breastfeeding for over 30 years, inspired by my own journey and desire to help families. After struggling as a new mom, a La Leche League leader helped me breastfeed three children, leading me to become a leader in 1992. In 1998, I became an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, turning volunteer work into a career.
Originally from New York, I now live in Orange County with my husband, three children, and two grandchildren. I founded a hospital lactation department with a pump rental, later joining Ameda to focus on education and health care. I led the department, launched a NICU Skin-to-Skin project, managed staff, created policies, trained interns, wrote materials, presented at conferences, co-founded the Mid-Hudson Lactation Consortium, and promoted lactation education.
