Maureen “Beanie” Crissy, BSN, RN, IBCLC, RLC
Maureen received her BSN from Florida State University. She went on to work as a nurse in both Pediatrics and the Neonatal ICU. She has over 30 years of experience working as a NICUI Nurse and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Maureen has a vast knowledge of breastfeeding and newborn development. She created the first full-service hospital lactation department at Baptist Health South Florida / Boca Raton Regional Hospital. She was a Founding Executive Board member of the HMBANA Milk Bank of Florida, as well as facilitated breast pump coverage for Medicaid for the State of Florida. Maureen currently serves on The Board of Directors for the Florida Lactation Consultant Association. Maureen is passionate and dedicated to empowering new moms, providing them with support and knowledge to successfully accomplish their parenting and breastfeeding goals.
She is also ecstatic to announce she just welcomed her 2nd Grandbaby in July!

Kelly Giordano, MSN, RN, IBCLC
Kelly has been a Neonatal ICU nurse for 34 years and currently works at St Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. She works as a NICU RN and Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Kelly received her BSN from Florida State University and then continued her education at Barry University, where she received her master’s degree in Nursing Administration. Her latest educational endeavor is writing a colostrum care policy in an effort to educate the parents about the benefits of colostrum and to increase colostrum care in the NICU. Kelly is a a member of the Palm Beach County Breastfeeding Coalition and the current membership chair for the Florida Lactation Consultant Association.

Desiree Meija, RN, IBCLC
Desiree is an IBCLC and Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience, specializing in neonatal care and supporting families through their unique feeding journeys. Her career background includes extensive work in the Neonatal ICU as well as caring for women receiving fertility treatment.
Originally from New York, She now calls South Florida home, where I’m passionate about helping families navigate the early days of parenthood. As a mom who breastfed both of my children, she knows firsthand that the breastfeeding journey is not always easy, especially without lactation support. Her journey as both a nurse and mother fuels my mission to empower and support families with the confidence and compassion they need for this new chapter and their breastfeeding journey.
